Emily Hagist, LCSW

I’m so glad you’re here. I’ve been in practice for eight years, supporting clients through healing, growth, and the ups and downs of being human. In our work together, I bring curiosity, compassion, humor, and my own humanness—mistakes and all—because therapy is a relationship, not a performance. My approach to relational therapy focuses on connection and understanding the patterns that show up in your life.

When I’m not in session, I love being outside, spending time with my husband and daughter, hanging out with friends & family, listening to audiobooks and exploring new foods. These moments remind me to slow down, savor life, and bring that same grounded energy into my work.

Treatment Approaches:

Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a gentle, evidence-based therapy that helps your mind and body process experiences that feel stuck or overwhelming. It’s not about reliving pain, but about gently releasing old patterns so you can find relief, clarity, and a renewed sense of your own strength and resilience. Sessions move at a pace that feels safe and supportive, honoring your unique experience.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps you understand and care for the different “parts” of yourself. We work with these parts with curiosity and compassion, creating space for healing, self-understanding, and reconnection with your calm, wise, and resilient core.
