Frequently Asked Questions *
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by phone, email, or filling out this contact form. I will get back to you within 24 hours.
What insurance plans do you accept?
I am not currently contracted with insurance and am a private-pay/out of network therapist. This gives us the flexibility to tailor services to your unique needs without insurance restrictions.
What should I expect during my first session?
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other, understand what brought you to therapy and determine if we are the right fit to start that journey. I know it can be overwhelming and intimidating to take this first step, so I strive to make our first session relaxed and welcoming.
Are your counseling services confidential?
Yes, all counseling sessions are confidential in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law. During our first session, I will offer further explanation and be open to any questions/concerns you may have.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
I offer limited sliding scale fee slots based on income and financial need. Please let me know if you are interested and I will work with you to ensure you are able to receive access to affordable care.
Can I switch therapists if I don't feel comfortable?
Yes, my ultimate goal is to make sure you are with the right fit. It doesn’t matter if you have worked with me for just a couple sessions or for a year or more. I welcome this discussion at any point. I will work with you to clarify your needs in therapy and assist you with referrals to other providers in the area.
What are your office hours?
I am currently available for virtual sessions on Thursdays from 10am-6pm. I am available via phone and email for any questions/scheduling needs 7 days a week. I will respond to all contacts within 24 hours.
How long are the counseling sessions?
I offer 60 minute and 90 minute individual therapy sessions. 90 minute sessions can be helpful for those who are receiving EMDR or IFS.
What types of therapy do you specialize in?
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems). I also incorporate Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness & Strengths Based Therapy.
